Knowledge Base
Leverage the knowledge base for AI-powered assistance and documentation. The knowledge base gives AI features in the platform organizational context beyond what is in your raw data.
Overview
The knowledge base stores organizational context — definitions, business rules, documentation and prior analysis — that AI-powered features in Mimasa AI can draw on when answering questions or generating insights. Grounding AI responses in this curated content makes them more relevant to how your organization actually defines its metrics, rather than relying on generic assumptions. Access to knowledge base content follows the same role-based permissions as the rest of the workspace.
Adding Content
Content can be added to the knowledge base directly, imported from existing documentation, or captured automatically as analysts save notes on dashboards and reports. Each entry can be tagged and organized so it is easy to find and so AI features can retrieve the most relevant material for a given question. Keeping the knowledge base current improves the quality of AI-generated insights across the workspace over time.
Search & Retrieval
The knowledge base can be searched directly by keyword, and its content is also retrieved automatically behind the scenes when AI features need context to answer a question or explain a metric. Search results respect the requesting user's permissions, so nobody can retrieve knowledge base content tied to data they would not otherwise be able to see. This makes the knowledge base a governed complement to, rather than a bypass of, the platform's access controls.
